IRC transfer errors
Resolve IRC and XDCC problems
Identify whether the error occurs while connecting, joining, requesting a package or receiving the transfer.
Connection or authentication
Check server, port, TLS and system time. If the network requires identification, verify whether NickServ or SASL is configured correctly.
Channel or prerequisite
Confirm that the channel exists, the client can join it and any prerequisite channel has been joined before the package request.
Bot and queue
The bot may be offline, the package number may have changed or the queue may be full. A later retry can help only if the external condition is temporary.
Transfer starts but fails
Check free disk space, write permissions and network stability. Reverse DCC requires a forwarded port only when the bot or network actually uses that mode.
G-line or network ban
A G-line is imposed by the IRC network. autofetch cannot remove it. Follow the network's published process and do not repeatedly reconnect in a way that worsens the block.
