Find programmes, watch for episodes and download locally

Automate media-library downloads

autofetch searches media libraries through MediathekViewWeb. Send an available programme directly to your client or create a watch that detects an episode published later.

How a media-library download works

  1. Search the integrated MediathekViewWeb provider for a title, programme or episode.
  2. Start a one-off download for an available result or save the search as a watch.
  3. autofetch creates a traceable download job when a result matches.
  4. Your connected client downloads directly from the source to your selected folder.

Download one available programme

Select a matching result and start a manual download. The portal coordinates the job; autofetch does not store or relay the media file.

What autofetch handles

  • Search and preview through the connected media-library provider
  • Repeated checks for saved watches
  • Creation and status display of download jobs
  • Dispatch to your selected local client

What still depends on the source

Availability, publication windows, regions, quality and file formats are controlled by the media library. autofetch can only process results exposed by the provider.
