Configure IRC and XDCC downloads
Add the networks and channels you are authorised to use, then search indexed announcements or create a watch.
Where to find IRC servers and channels
Look for IRC communities matching your interests using a web search, then check their websites or documentation for the server address (host, e.g. irc.example.org), channel (e.g. #example) and any non-default port. The network name you enter in autofetch is just your own label.
Enter these details using the quick IRC setup on Search or under Settings → My IRC channels. The built-in media-library search also works without an IRC source. Only use sources and content you are permitted to access.
1. Add a network
Enter the server, port, TLS setting and a clear name. Authentication details for NickServ or SASL belong in the local client settings where required.
2. Add a channel
Subscribe to the channel that carries relevant announcements. Indexing continues only while at least one user subscription requires the channel.
3. Search or create a watch
Use the IRC indexer provider to search your configured sources. Filter by network or channel only when the same filename may appear in several places.
4. Request a pack
The selected bot and package number are passed to your client. The client joins the required channels and performs the transfer.
