Ongoing series and numbered content
Counters for episodes, editions and XDCC packs
Use {counter} where one number changes between otherwise similar searches.
Example
Example S02E{counter} with start value 1 and two-digit formatting searches for Example S02E01, then Example S02E02 and so on.
Configure carefully
- Set the correct start value.
- Choose the step, usually 1.
- Select padding only if the source uses it.
- Add an end value when the series is known to finish.
Gaps are retained
If episode 5 appears before episode 4, the later result can be processed while the missing number stays open. This prevents a late publication from being skipped permanently.
Supported source groups
Counters are currently available for MediathekViewWeb and supported IRC/XDCC sources. They are not currently intended for RSS or JSON feeds.
